ABOUT ABOUT

UNSTUCK, is loosely based off the lives of Farren and I. We worked jobs we hated and KNEW we couldn’t be the only people going through it. It’s easy to say you hate where you work but it’s hard to actually get out of that job. Easy factors that make people stay is financial stability, bills, and fear of failure. Our generation, millennials, unfortunately feel the anxieties of wanting be better but feeling STUCK everyday. This show is to encourage those, that may need that extra push to keep going. No matter what, KEEP GOING. KEEP STRIVING. Don’t allow a closed door to be the reason you aren’t successful. Much like our journey, it won’t be easy, you won’t have everything aligned perfectly, you won’t make everyone happy all the time, you will confuse those that don’t seek to understand you but KEEP GOING. There is a small part of Katrina in all of us, if we try.

Tézya Jackson was born in Dallas, Texas and the 27 year old filmmaker knew that she always had a passion for storytelling. She began to write her first essays in the 3rd grade that landed her in the Dallas Morning Newspaper for two-consecutive years in middle school and a compelling letter to the Tuskegee Airmen that persuaded them to visit her middle school. She began to expand her talent with writing, directing, and producing several plays in high school and caught the media bug at Prairie View A&M University where she graduated with her BA in Mass Communications and minor in Theatre.

Her first published series, "Life Starts Now Web series" premiered on YouTube in the winter of 2014 and now has over 25,000 views on her channel. Her newest project, UNSTUCK, is about a millennial working in Corporate America and actively looks for a new job while on the clock.
