Director Biography - Damien D Montgomery
Damien Montgomery is a proud Houston native raised in the Third Ward community who is extremely thankful for his praying mother. He realized at an early age that if he was going to have an ounce of a fighting chance at being anything in this world, he would have to sellout to the word of God. Not long after his decision, Damien discovered his passion for creativity in the fifth grade when he was instructed by his fifth-grade teacher to write a story in regards to a field trip he and his class had taken the day before. At ten years old he wrote a sixteen-page paper and was recorded leaving his desk three times, one time for lunch and twice for bathroom breaks. Throughout middle school and well into college, while attending the University of Houston on a football scholarship, Damien excelled in Literature courses but it wasn't until he was told a story he created sounded like a movie. After carefully researching screen writing, Damien took it upon himself to learn the technique and spent the following summer at his campus library practicing and studying his new found interest until he perfected it. Not settling with just learning how to write a movie, his next step was to learn how to make a movie and he did. Making a movie was no different than writing a script, which to him was no different than closing his eyes and developing a vision. His pursuit of self-progress when creativity is involved is attributed to the cusp sign of his birth, the Scorpio, and Sagittarius. Passionate and intense, while exemplifying boldness and independence. Whatever the direction developed in his head becomes his drive and passion which breathes life into his dauntless nature, henceforth bringing the vision to reality.
